He panui mo nga uri me nga whangai o Metekingi-Takarangi.
A notice for the descendents and adopted/shared/whangai children of Meteking-Takarangi.

The whanau/family reunion which was to be held at Putiki Marae, Whanganui, New Zealand on the 27 December 2005 through to the 01 January 2006 has currently been put on hold due to unforseen circumstance. It is envisiaged that this will still eventuate but not until next year. Keep your eye on this spot keep checking this notice board for any changes. You can still email Takarangi_Metekingi@hotmail.com to keep in contact or any suggestions you would like to see happen at the reunion.

No need to worry, as yet there is still no date set - so you haven't missed out on anything.
Kiaora Latoya. I am your 2nd cousin, my nanny being Mei Bailey - one of your grandfather's older sisters!

Question - Is there an email address link to get up-to-date information from? Have previously tried the address mentioned in the forum, but never got a response. Not sure whether this forum will continue to generate an email reminder for me of any future information postings.
Thanks

Kia ora whanau, I have just come across this page whilst online and can recognise some of the names mentioned on here........Skat is my uncle and also Mei Bailey she is my aunty, whom when I was very really young use to look after me when i would run away from college (Hato Hohepa) she would take me in give me a kai and somewhere to moe, beautiful aunty... I was just really happy to hear those names mentioned. I only spoke to my Uncle Skat once and he was soooo funny....we met at another uncles tangi in Waitara. My mums name is Pipi (pipingarangi takarangi metekingi) and she is there sister, also we have Puggy, Noti,Mere and on and on the whanau grows. But yes I just wanted to say hi to any cuzzies out there who might be on this forum....will there be a family reunion. Aroha nui Sioux
