Ok I tried the Kuri surname but to no avail..'bugga'
Anyways//my father in laws original surname was Kuri but
many of them changed thier names to Lauder (as originally posted in the Kuri thread)
However because he got the huffs with his whanau back in the days
he changed his name to Paihana.
I did a bit of research and found that there is a whanau out there with the surname Wehipaihana.
Now my father in laws name is Wehi Kiripatea Paihana.
I am looking in the hope to start a my childrens whakapapapapa and for my own husbands piece of mind..who has been searching for years for some kind of information.
As far as we know my husband is the only male offspring with the Paihana surname.
Also a bit of information passed on years ago..it was thought that my husband has a half brother out there somewhere.
Hopefully somebody can help me.
