kia ora i am looking for the whakapapa of my great grand father nino takao.he was from whakare whakatane in the bay of plenty.my greatgrand mother was ngawini takao.They had nine children. Kiho,Tariki,Tate(nancy);Bay,Joe,Nino,Dice,Mary,Kero.that is all i know of my koros brothers and sisters there could be more.my koro is joe and we would like to hear from some one that knows .

Mere Witika:
born September 18th 1942 of Coromandel.
Passed away 8th April 2011.
Married to Tony Paora of Paeroa.
Children Rex Witika and Tony Paora.
Any information much appriciated

Nino was from Waimana. I'd think that any of the local Maori families from there would be able to help you or direct you to who can help. Nino was closely related to one of our neighbours when I was a child in the 1960s and he frequently visited them. I think he was also a Minister with the Presbyterian Synod (Takatutahi).
