Kia Ora, My name is Moira and i am trying to help my whanau find our Grt Grt Grt grandmother Jessie Tirapurua Tamihana or Thompson as her surname whanau. The story is Jessie 1st married a Missionary who served here in New Zealand his surname was Powerdril not sure if he had 1 L or 2 L's in his surname we do not have his first name, he came over from England during the Maori/Pakeha war. They did not have children together as it has be told. Then she Married our Grt Grt Grt Grandfather Tutuhau Henry and had six children to him, and of the six only 2 of their children (sons) had families (Rapata, and Te Iwa) Te Iwa who is my Grt Grt Grandfather. Jessie had a Sister who Married a Hughes (Surname), her name is Polly Tamihana or Thompson. I am carrying on the whakapapa from my Aunty who passsed away a few yrs ago and would appreicate any information on the Tamihana (Thompson) whakapapa line my email address is email@example.com
