She was born in 1917 and was one of 8-9 siblings.
Some siblings I have heard of arw: Waka, Molly, Polly and Daisy
She had children with Humphrey Bellamy(1912-1984) their kids were:
Barrie, Maureen, Pauline, Pauline, Janice, Faye, Christeen
Please let me know if you have any info! ❤️
Hi there, I have just come across your request for information and thought I would share what I know.
I have some knowledge of your Grandmother Laura. The family homestead is in a place called Te Kowhai near Ruawai. My last recollection is that Daisy (sister to Laura) was the one who retained the family farm with her husband Harding (deceased) and their children (sorry I can only remember one childs name and thats Hinemoa.
My understanding is that the whanau iwi is Ngati Whaatua. Unfortunately I cannot remember the hapu and or the marae that they associate with however I guess that they can almost associate to most of the marae in that area.
You are correct about her siblings: Brothers Waaka, Wiki and Jack (cant remember if there are more brothers) sisters Emarina (Molly) MUTU, Pare (Polly) McKINNON, Daisy LEEF, and Mary ?surname (again cant remember if their are more sisters) and of course your grandmother Laura. The last one standing was/is Daisy and I am not sure if she is still alive today.
I hope that gives you a little more information. All the best
