Kia ora,

If you go to the Whakapapa Club at http://whakapapa.maori.org.nz and do a search there for the name Paratene you will find a few references in the lists that may help you to get a bit more information.

Whakapapa Cub is my preferred place of choice to search as there are resources there that are not in the Papa Panui!

Good Luck! 😀

Nau te raurau,

[b]Does anyone out there recognise the Paratene or Nini name as this was the name of my great grandmother Kereihi Paratene or Kereihi Nini, her siblings were Winui, Ngaropo, Kipa, Horama, Miriama and Ani Kanara they are from Rotorua but some of them resided in Ohiwa. If anyone is willing to help it will be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards

Kia ora ano Roxytiana, This is my Email Address: teani_hinerangi@hotmail.com
PLEASE feel FREE to email me information about my Great Grandmother Kereihi. My Great Grandfather was John McCormack, (known as Jack.) I think they were together for about 7 years, then they went their own ways. Apparently, my Grandfather, was the ONLY child, that they had to each other. My grandfather is James McCormack (known as Jim or Timi Komeke)
I hope this helps you out a bit.

Do you have any photos of Kereihi, that I could copy. Our whanau dnt have any at all.
I am also in the process of searching information about my Great Grandfather John and Kereihi.

PLEASE contact me ASAP at the above email, OR otherwise if you are on Facebook, you could add me to your friends List.
Look me up, Elizabeth McCormack (I live in Dalyston, 3992 Victoria, Australia)

I hope to hear from you soon.

Cheers!

Liz McCormack
